We stayed here for a week. The accommodation is great and the owners have done an excellent job in renovating the holiday lets. We stayed in Seaview, very spacious , 3 bedrooms , 1 of which is en-suite. Lovely kitchen, nice gardens with views of the fields, Widemouth Bay etc. Also with a spacious garden. Highly recommended.

The location is perfect for us, we’ve stayed previously and came back again due to this, plus the property is so well finished with exceptional cleanliness, and much higher quality than you’d expect for the price. The owners have done an amazing job of preparing this (and the other) properties. We highly recommend!

We enjoyed a lovely week at Sea View and would definitely recommend staying here. Gemma is highly responsive and very helpful. The location is great with the sea view and lovely outlook across the fields, all with complete privacy. The house has all you need for a restful stay with quality fixtures and fittings.

Absolutely stunning property that has been meticulously renovated and beautifully appointed. There is a gorgeous, dog friendly beach, with life guards, within walking distance and a lovely beach cafe. It's fantastic....book immediately

Stayed at Swallows Nest. Beautiful and spotlessly clean cottage, decorated and appointed to a high standard with obvious care and love by owners, Gemma and Guy. Gemma was a lovely host, kind and helpful. Location was great, peaceful and pretty, with easy walk to beach and great nearby pubs. Would recommend highly.

A beautiful well though out and styled property in a great location. This is such a beautifully renovated property to stay at and exceptional quirky details in the fixtures and fittings. All appliances and furniture were high end and quality too, all well equipment to cook and prep food which made the stay nice. Great location with Bude just a couple of miles away and Widemouth Bay and the Beach House our fav restaurant just round the corner too and walking distance. Great to explore further into Cornwall too. The owners were so lovely and welcoming too, we will be back!

We spent a really enjoyable week at Sea View and would highly recommend staying there. The piggery conversion has been beautifully completed and it's an ideal place to stay with a dog and explore North Cornwall. There's ample parking; the garden is lovely with a stunning view of the countryside to Widemouth Bay in the distance; and the rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Would definitely stay there again.

Al Davies ***** (Google Review - 2023)
Outstanding accommodation really well situated for North Cornwall. We had a great time here with our daughter and dog, the accommodation was spot on; finished to a high standard, easy parking, enclosed and private garden and very quiet and comfortable. We were able to visit the local beach at Widemouth Bay with ease and also well situated for famous Tintagel and Boscastle. Bude is a few minutes down the road. Really couldn't recommend highly enough, will definitely stay on our list.

We've recently enjoyed a lovely week at The Stable Barn. The conversion works have been beautifully done - endless charming detail - and the property generously equipped. The property is well placed for exploring North Cornwall and our dog certainly enjoyed her twice daily walks down to the beach! The Stable provided a very cosy refuge on days of "changeable" weather and a peaceful haven with its sunny courtyard otherwise. The (equally lovely) neighbouring barns mean that the spot would collectively work well for larger groups. We did not need to call upon the owners during our stay, but know that they would have been most attentive should we have done so - the booking process and so forth were very well managed.

We had an amazing week in Swallow's Nest at Mill Barns. Very comfortable and well appointed barn conversion with everything we needed and more for a perfect Cornish getaway. It's a lovely walk down to Blackrock / Widemouth bay with the dog and an easy drive to Bude along the coast. The (warm) outside shower / hose is a genius touch for cleaning sandy wetsuits, people and dogs after a hard day's surfing. Some recommendations to people visiting the area: We think Sandymouth has the biggest waves but Widemouth the easiest to catch. 'The Bank' tapas restaurant was amazing and perhaps the most dog friendly restaurant ever! We always make time to visit The Bush inn in Morwenstow, an ancient pub about 25 mins North by Car

Chris Lunt ***** (Google Review - 2023)
We were very impressed with this place, the cottage is lovely both inside and out. The owners must have taken a lot of time and care when renovating the barns, you notice more nice touches and little details the longer you spend there.
You can walk through the fields to Widemouth bay, there’s a nice bar / restaurant a couple of minutes walk up the road too.
You can walk to Bude but we generally took the car to whichever beach or town we fancied on any particular day.
Boscastle, Tintagel and Port Isaac were in easy reach.
The owners are there if needed but TBH we didn’t need them for anything as there were no hiccups, we had a few chats with them in passing, they were lovely and you could tell they took pride in the barns. We’d recommend this place to everybody.

We stayed a couple of weeks ago and had the perfect break. Every single thing was catered for, Gemma and Guy have created a stunning holiday home, that they’ve so generously and kindly allowed guests to enjoy. Everything has been finished to the highest standard, and the barn is absolutely spotlessly clean! The beds were so comfy, bedding was lovely quality, towels clean and smelt so fresh (and changed halfway through the week!) The welcome basket they leave had so many wonderful treats and were very “welcome “., even treats in a little bag for our dog!! Nothing has been missed. Gemma and Guy have literally thought of everything!! Beach Towels provided, and towels & bowls for pets too.
Gemma gave us a long list of places to eat (not necessarily recommended) and we booked a restaurant for every night, before we stayed. Personally would recommend The Deck and Elements. Gorgeous food!! And the Widemouth Manor for Sunday carvery! We didn’t have the best weather but we still had a wonderful break in Gemma’s & Guys stunning barn. Guy showed us the other 2 properties that they’re currently renovating to let out and they promise to be on exactly the same incredibly high spec as the barn is, they’ve done an amazing job and deserve to be fully booked all year round!! The only problem is going to be managing to get a week!! As they’re so busy!! We could not fault Sea View Barn and would stay again in a heartbeat 💗 a week wasn’t long enough!

Perfect Really was a perfect stay. Peaceful location but within easy reach of lovely beaches and places to visit. Welcome Pack was the best ever and every single need catered for in the cottage including treats for the dog. Lovely extras like the outdoor shower and bedroom skylights make it feel extra special.

Perfect getaway - Swallows Nest superbly equipped with everything we needed inside and in the small, private and safely gated outdoor area. Comfortable beds and sofas with high standard kitchen appliances. Perfect setup from back door for us to cross the courtyard and join our family staying in Sea View and share their garden. Gemma and Guy are amazing hosts.

We loved our stay at Sea View - A beautiful accommodation in a stunning location. The owners couldn't do enough for us and the attention to detail in the property was a joy. Really well equipped with lovely extra's like beach towels and the dogs we're completely spoilt with cosy beds, towels, bowls and biscuits. Easy walking distance to the beach and the Widemouth Manor where we often stopped for a drink and the food was also really good. We were 2 families so also rented Swallows Nest but used the larger garden at Sea View to get together and BBQ whilst the children played which worked perfectly. We would highly recommended and look forward to booking again.

Duncan H. (October 2020) - Just Perfect 5/5
My wife and I spent a wonderful week in Swallows Nest I only booked the day before travel as we were worried about COVID restrictions, but were not disappointed in our choice The barn, (as I alluded to in the title) was just prefect for our weeks escape from the South hams of Devon. Perfect location, far enough from Bude for a good days walk there and back, but also close enough to Widemouth Bay for a gentle early morning stroll or to watch the sunset. We could not fault the property, decor was absolutely to our taste, with top quality fittings. Under floor heating was wonderful After a day out in the weather, but the blazing multi-fuel burner was a godsend to enhance the already wonderful ambience of the property. Make sure you set the fire before you go out for the day, which allows you to simply put a flame to it on arrival back. The appliances in the kitchen/ lounge area were top, of the range a and a lovely touch was the Bose Bluetooth speaker, which is perfect for interacting a device when the TV is off and the fire is burning - perfect for a winter evening A lovely touch, was the basket on arrival containing local produce and wine. I could go on forever singing the property’s praises, but don’t want to bore you. Needless to say - simply perfect! We will definitely return again. Thanks for a wonderfully clean and presented property, worthy of 5*........Made our week

Absolutely lovely converted barn. We stayed in sea view and I honestly cannot fault it. The views are amazing, across meadows and down to the sea. All mod cons and finished to a high standard. Beautifully decorated. A hamper was there for our arrival and dog treats for our cockapoo. Really lovely touches. Also an email was sent in advance asking us which flowers we would like which was very thoughtful and another lovely add on. The best thing was the very large bath which I enjoyed after a long day walking. Very peaceful and quiet area but not far from wide mouth bay and the centre of bude is a short drive away. Great hosts and holiday ❤️
Amazing host, amazing property

I cannot rate this property, or Gemma as a host, highly enough.  Sea View barn was just perfect for our 7 night stay. Beautifully finished with every possible amenity that we could need or want. One of the best self catering properties that we have ever stayed in. Gemma is the most attentive host, who could not do enough for us. She really did care about all of our group, including a person with mobility problems and our 6 month old boxer dog. We couldn’t have asked for more. She really went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay, even delivering tomato ketchup to our door for our bbq, on request. We all thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beautiful part of the country. Highly recommended. Stunning barn conversion in an ideal location.
Beautiful, peaceful and private property finished to a very high standard with all mod cons. Perfect for a family (including with young children). Widemouth bay beaches are a short 15 minute walk and great base to explore the many other beaches and coves of north Cornwall (Northcott Mouth beach and Crackington Haven were real highlights). Also very convenient for Bude itself. The barn has a lovely garden with views over farmland to the coast. The owner was very friendly and welcoming and was very attentive during our stay. We will definitely be back!

Outstanding and highly recommended - As a family of 4, 2 children under 10, we had an excellent time. The cottage is immaculately clean and superbly well equipped with everything you could need. The location was excellent and a close distance to the beaches. Gemma, our host is amazingly and very helpful. We couldn't for anything more.

Excellent Quality Accommodation - High quality well equipped accommodation that is worth the price paid. Excellent communication from the owner who was very helpful and friendly. Also great for our two dogs who were catered for with just as much care as the rest of the family.
