Winston - Born here at Mill Barn in the roof (!)

💖 ❤️ 💗❤️ 💖

Winston was a very special cat here at Mill Barn and a dedicated blog to him is needed to honour him.

He really was a free spirit being able to roam wherever he wanted, whenever he wanted. He had a wonderful life in his around 18 years here on the farm.

He was loved by guests and neighbours and was everyone’s friend always looking for a cuddle, stroke or food! He had no fear and trusted everyone.

He had a few near misses in his time but always pulled through but sadly a car wasn’t a match for him this time. In a bizarre coincidence Guy found Winston at 6am on his way to work lying in the road and in the exact spot of his late mother and on one of the hottest day of the year (25/6/26).

Winston was a very tough cat and true to his character he tried to fight his injuries for a couple of days but sadly with his back legs not working we had to do the right but hard thing to let him go.

Now he is at peace free to roam and climb trees - poignantly we laid Winston to rest under the tree he loved to climb on the farm overlooking the bay.

What the world needs is much more Winston love x

Although gardeners (including me!), and farmers, no doubt wish for more rain at times, right now I can't deny having really enjoyed the last few weeks of the most glorious weather
